Acoustic stringed instruments and vocal harmonies are the staples of the decidedly American Bluegrass music genre. An AMT favorite, loyal fans of Bluegrass will enjoy this year’s lineup including: Nash Street, Nothin Fancy, Jesse McReynolds, Bobby Osborne and Rhonda Vincent. April 4 - Easter April 8 - Steven Curtis Chapman - American Music Theatre, 2425 Lincoln Highway East (Route 30, across from Rockvale Outlets), Lancaster, PA. 717-397-7700 or 800-648-4102. With his music a cross between '70s-style rock and orchestrated pop, Steven Curtis Chapman has been one of the most prominent performers of contemporary Christian music since the '80s. This talented singer/songwriter and multi-platinum selling artist is a four-time Grammy winner for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album. In addition he’s had ten #1 albums on the Billboard Contemporary Christian charts including “Signs of Life,” “Speechless,” “All About Love,” “All Things New,” and “This Moment.” Chapman’s latest album, “Beauty Will Rise,” was released in August of 2009. April 19 - Patriot's Day April 20 - Vince Gill - American Music Theatre, 2425 Lincoln Highway East (Route 30, across from Rockvale Outlets), Lancaster, PA. 717-397-7700 or 800-648-4102. Vince Gill paid nearly a decade and a half of dues en route to becoming one of the most popular country stars of the '90s. Starting out as a bluegrass singer and multi-instrumentalist, he initially made his name with country-rockers Pure Prairie League before finding massive success as a contemporary country hitmaker. Vince Gill has won more CMA Awards than any performer in history, and his 14 Grammys tie him with Chet Atkins for the most ever by a country artist. To top it off, at the 2008 Grammy Awards Vince bested rapper Kanye West, among others, by taking home the trophy for Album of the Year. Relive the classic songs that epitomize the spirit of the California lifestyle. The Beach Boys sing about sun, sand, surf, and a simpler time. Close your eyes and you’ll feel like you’re almost there! Come see these American icons as they return to AMT. The Beach Boys' first hit “Surfin’” launched a string of chart-topping songs that spans nearly forty years and includes eternal anthems of American youth: “Surfer Girl,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Good Vibrations,” “Rock and Roll Music,” “Kokomo,” and more. Everyman comic, Bill Engvall, returns to AMT with his own brand of down-home humor and country comedy. His debut album, “Here’s Your Sign,” has achieved gold record status, and has become his most well-known bit. He was named Best Male Standup at the American Comedy Awards, and took his act out on the road as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White.
